Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our artisanal home finishes.

What is the difference between limewash and standard paint?

Limewash is a mineral-based finish made from crushed limestone and pigments. Unlike standard acrylic paint that creates a plastic-like film, limewash penetrates the surface, allowing walls to breathe while creating a unique, mottled aesthetic.

How long does shipping take for custom color orders?

Most orders are processed within 2-3 business days. Depending on your location, standard shipping typically takes 5-7 business days. You will receive a tracking number as soon as your order leaves our warehouse.

Can I apply limewash over previously painted surfaces?

Yes, but it requires a mineral primer first. Because limewash is designed to bond with porous surfaces, applying our specialized primer over existing latex or oil-based paint ensures proper adhesion and the desired textured effect.

What is your return policy on opened containers?

Due to the nature of our products and the risk of contamination, we cannot accept returns on opened paint or primer cans. Unopened items can be returned within 30 days of purchase, minus a restocking fee.

Is your limewash eco-friendly and VOC-free?

Absolutely. Our limewash is made from natural ingredients, is non-toxic, and contains zero VOCs, making it safe for your home environment and the planet.

How do I calculate how much product I need?

We recommend measuring the square footage of your walls and subtracting windows and doors. Generally, one gallon of limewash covers approximately 250-300 square feet for a single coat, though two coats are recommended for full depth of color.
